The forecast yesterday (Wednesday) was : If the MTR-TM closes at or below 2276.68 (-1.77%) on the next trading day a Market Down signal will be fired.

Today: As of the market close on Thursday, 8/12/2010 the MTR-TM closed at 2305.94 and a down signal was fired.

Are you still fine tuning the forecasting model?

Don,

There are a couple of items that need to be tweaked in the forecast. The forecast can be a few points off. We have a change in the works and it should be live in the next week.

Thanks,
Patrick

I rolled back the test database to Wednesday and corrected the issue.

To clarify for any readers, this issue was in regards to the advanced signal, one day prior to the actual signal.

WAS - Wed: If the MTR-TM closes at or below 2276.68 (-1.77%) on the next trading day a Market Down signal will be fired.

NOW - Rolled back to Wed: If the MTR-TM closes at or below 2336.45 .81% on the next trading day a Market Down signal will be fired.

The actual Market Down Signal was then fired at the close of 2305.94

The image below is from the test server

In the case above the market could have closed up .81% or less and a down signal would have been fired.  To clarfiy, the market can close up and a down signal can fired, the market can down and a market up signal can be fired.

The updated logic is now live.

Thanks,
Patrick
